Bellingham was spotted remonstrating with Arda Guler after the youngster mishit a pass to Vinicius Jr during Los Blancos' 1-0 win over Juventus in the last 16 as the team lost possession. The incident did not go unnoticed by Real Madrid fans, who did not like what they were seeing from the England international.

Guler supporter @kingbeofulger posted footage of the incident and added: "The argument between Arda Güler and Jude Bellingham is in the clearest image. Jude Bellingham got angry at Arda in the middle of the match. Arda got angry too. It is not nice for Bellingham to blame him and point the finger. There is no need for ego."

Another fan, Fenerbahcem0305, thinks Bellingham is jealous of his team-mate: "From the very first minute, Bellingham targeted Arda Güler. His jealousy has clearly turned into hostility. This isn’t the first time—it happened last season too. Authorities must act now. Such treatment towards a rising talent like Arda is unacceptable."

And @ShahulZein seemed worried about the incident: "So the Arda Guler vs Jude Bellingham rift is real..???"

There was more support for Guler from @adesay0, who wrote on X: "Arda Guler is a better footballer than Jude Bellingham."

Finally, @Marcus_Times added: "Guler just realised Bellingham is a clown."

Guler enjoyed a frustrating second season at Madrid, as he struggled for consistent game time, but the winger has been impressing at the Club World Cup. He also drew praise from manager Xabi Alonso after the win over Juve. Alonso told reporters: "He's doing well, I'm happy, but a team isn't built by just one player; we're on the path to strengthening that area of the pitch."

Real Madrid's win sets up a quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund. Bellingham will therefore come up against his brother's team, but there will be no family meeting on the pitch as Jobe is suspended for the match.
